Tework for Mac
Your Tework workspace in a window of its own, with Mac notifications.
One file for every Mac, Apple silicon or Intel. The app is signed and notarized by Apple.
What you need
- macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- A Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel Mac: the same file works on both.
- A Tework account. No account yet? Request access, Individual is free during the beta.
Install the app
- Open the .dmg file you just downloaded.
- Drag Tework into the Applications folder.
- Open Tework from Applications or Launchpad. The first time, macOS asks whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet: click Open.
- Sign in with your Tework account, just like on the web.
- On your first call, macOS asks for access to the camera and microphone: allow it for video calls and dictation.
What the app does
The app opens your workspace at app.tework.ai: the same one as in the browser, with your mail, calendar, video calls, files and the assistant. Everything is there, on the web and on the Mac. On top of that:
- It stays open when you close the window, with its icon in the menu bar: a call rings, a message arrives.
- Mac notifications, even with the window closed, with the count on the Dock icon.
- Screen sharing during a call.
- External links open in your browser.
Updates
The app updates itself: it downloads the new version in the background, then offers to restart now or later. If you choose later, it installs the next time you quit Tework. Nothing to download again here.
